  
Ruins of the Church of Saint Therese
José de Porres was one of the most important builders of the Colonial City. The façade of this temple brings to mind an impressive vertical line.

It was founded ca. 1680 and was under the care of the order of the Barefoot Carmelites. The many earthquakes that shook the city made the roof cave in.
It is closed to visitors, but its ancient façade can be appreciated through a gate.
It is located on 4th Avenue North between 1st and 2nd Streets West. The façade has been depleted of many of its original details, including the main statue, but the color of the walls contrasts beautifully with the sky on clear days.
This detail is taken advantage of by many photographers, who bring to life this magnificent monument of yesterday with every picture they take.
