Church of the School of Christ The Street of the Way of the Cross leads directly to this church.
The street receives its name from the shrines of the Way of the Cross located along it; religious rites would take place inside the shrines in ancient times.
The church was officially founded and established as the Church of the School of Christ, but since 1689 it was called the Congregation of Saint Philip of Henri. Once again, the earthquakes of 1717 wreaked havoc on the temple and the adjoining convent.
The religious order in charge of the church successfully rebuilt it in 1730.

The architecture is of Renaissance style and it sharply contrasts with the rest of the churches not only because of its architecture but also because of the materials used to build it. Only the facades of two churches of Antigua were not built with stucco: Capuchins and the School of Christ, both of which boast stone facades.
The atrium is quite small compared to those of other temples of its time.
There is a quaint park across the street, where visitors can enjoy the peaceful environment.
