A series of whimsical geological formations surprises tourists at Momostenango, Totonicapan in the West.
Due to erosion and characteristics of this field, these rocks were formed over time, shaping curious figures. However, the town is expanding daily and gaining ground, surrounding this area, which is so attractive to tourists.
Nearby you can find lodging and restaurants. It is not center of mass tourism, rather it is a very calm region that has managed to capitalize on this environment and makes it a main attraction.
Location of the Cliffs The cliffs are in the department of Totonicapán, about five hours from Guatemala City. It is usually a common destination for tourists in Quetzaltenango, because it is an hour and a half away from that city, it also offers a variety of options for lodging.

When you visit Momostenango do not miss the market to see or buy their famous blankets, which are handcrafts produced in wool by the residents for periods of intense cold.
